Targeted remote sensing support for a specific need
Need remote sensing expertise for a discrete project or short-term initiative? Upstream Tech can support diligence efforts, landscape analyses, environmental studies, historical change assessments, and other scoped engagements without requiring your team to build in-house monitoring capacity.

Example: Long-term outcomes assessment
A common version of this work is a one-time look at how a portfolio of properties has changed over a long horizon — useful for program evaluation, impact reporting, or deciding where to focus future monitoring.
-
Site selection. Working with your team, we determine the appropriate monitoring scope based on your goals and budget. This may include a representative sample of properties or a review of all sites within the portfolio, using random, stratified, risk-based, or targeted selection approaches as needed.
-
Historical baseline. For each site, we pull imagery from the time of initial protection (or whatever baseline date matters to you) alongside the most recent imagery available.
-
Change detection across the full horizon. Our analysts review each site for both human-driven changes — new roads, structures, vegetation removal — and natural changes like hydrology shifts or shifts in vegetation cover.
-
Per-site reports. A short report for each property noting what changed, when, and how it was identified — with the source imagery attached.
-
Roll-up summary. A summary report across the full sample, with patterns, outliers, and recommendations for what to monitor going forward.
No material changes noted between 2014 and 2025. Forested wetland and surrounding canopy appear intact; no new structures, access roads, or vegetation removal observed within the protected boundary.
This is a sample program. Real engagements are scoped to your land, team, and decisions — and may look different in shape, cadence, and deliverables.
